Why This Matters
Rigging failure drops equipment or structure onto a crowd below with no warning and no recovery, making this one of the few event standards where there is truly no acceptable margin for improvisation. Only certified riggers touch load-bearing points, and every load traces back to an engineered rating, never a guess. The standard exists because gravity does not negotiate.
