Why This Matters
An unsigned acknowledgment is an indefensible gap the moment discipline or termination is challenged, because the organization cannot prove the employee ever knew the standard. Complete, accurate acknowledgment records protect both the employee's right to be trained and the company's ability to enforce standards fairly.
