Why This Matters
Nothing the department delivers carries higher stakes: safe-sleep standards exist because gaps, soft bedding, and loose hardware have cost infant lives. A crib is also a trust statement to a traveling parent at their most protective. There is no acceptable shortcut anywhere in this procedure.
