Governs the verification that every in-room safe is empty, functional, and reset to factory default before a room is released to a new guest.
Why This Matters
A safe left locked with a previous guest's belongings — or a code that carries over — is both a lost-property failure and a security breach waiting to happen. This is one of the few housekeeping checks with direct legal and guest-trust exposure. A safe checked casually is a safe that eventually embarrasses the property.
