Why This Matters
Emergency lights exist for the four minutes a year when everything else has failed and guests are moving through smoke-dark corridors in an unfamiliar building. A dead battery discovered during an evacuation is a finding written in liability. This is among the cheapest life-safety programs on property and the least forgivable to neglect.
