Why This Matters
A preference profile is a promise: tell us once, and we will remember. Stale or sloppy data breaks that promise publicly — the anniversary champagne for a couple now divorced is worse than no gesture at all. Capture serves the guest, never surveils them; the profile should contain nothing a guest would be uncomfortable seeing.
