Advance Deposit Forfeiture and Non-Refundable Rate Enforcement
Defines when an advance deposit is forfeited under a non-refundable rate, and the limited authority to grant an exception outside standard policy.
Why This Matters
Non-refundable rates only hold their value if forfeiture is enforced consistently; the first inconsistent refund becomes the guest-forum precedent everyone quotes back at the desk. At the same time, blind enforcement in a genuine hardship can cost more in loyalty than the deposit is worth. This SOP exists to make that judgment call structured instead of personal.
